About Vinod

This is a working notebook for what's actually changing in software delivery as AI takes hold — written from inside engineering orgs, not from the conference circuit.

I'm Vinod Narayanswamy. I've spent seventeen years in enterprise delivery, most of that time watching teams ship software under pressure. I co-trained Scrum@Scale with Jeff Sutherland in my early consulting years and learned along the way that the methodology was never really the thing — the work is the thing. The work is still the thing.

These days I lead three engineering teams at Epsilon in Bengaluru, and alongside that I advise engineering leadership on what to measure when AI coding tools enter the workflow. Before that: Flipkart, Standard Chartered, Petronas, and a few years running my own delivery practice.

What you'll find here is honest assessments of AI coding rollouts — what works, what doesn't, and what teams are quietly faking metrics on. Measurement frameworks for engineering leaders who can't accept "the developers seem happier" as an outcome. Notes on delivery itself, which is the part most AI discourse skips over. And occasional longer pieces on what this all means for engineering careers, GCC strategy, and where the value actually pools.

I try to write things I'd want to read myself — specific, falsifiable, and shorter than the topic seems to demand.

If that sounds useful, subscribing is free and the only thing in your inbox will be the posts. No funnel, no upsells. If you want to talk about a delivery challenge at your org, find me on LinkedIn or email vinod@vinodnarayanswamy.com.
